Thus Allah Almighty is merciful to His servants. Hadith on kindness is our opportunity to talk about kindness in Islam, and how the Messenger of Allah was kind. To learn Hadith on Kindness, we have to know more about kindness and its meaning. There are many verses in the Holy Quran and Hadiths that talk about kindness, and we will take one example of Hadith on kindness. Before learning Hadith on kindness, we should know types of kindness in Islam.

Types of kindness:

1. Kindness to ourselves: A Muslim has to be kind to himself in worshiping Allah. That is why our beloved Prophet Muhammad (SAW) has instructed us not to be strict, and not to be extremists, but we have to be in the middle. As said by Allah in His Holy book in Surah Baqarah:

This great Verse indicates that the nation of the beloved Prophet (SAW) is a moderate and non_extremist nation. 2. Kindness to all people: This is the second type of kindness in Islam, and it means to deal with other people with love and tolerance. The Messenger of Allah said:

This is one example of Hadith on kindness that shows the kindness of Allah, and His love to kind people. 3. Kindness to Parish: Every Muslim must play his full rule in providing requirements, securing life, or any other human demands. Another type of kindness in Islam is kindness to the subordinates in order to fulfill this type of kindness. The Messenger of Allah Muhammad (SAW) has confirmed this type of kindness in many Noble Hadiths. t is important to say that religious Jurists have to be kind in their advice to people, so that people should follow them and not to be alienated from them. Allah Almighty also said in Surah An-Nahl:

This Ayah addresses preachers of Islam to be kind to other people. 4. Kindness to the servant: If you have a servant, you are obliged to be kind with him and help him to get Allah’s satisfaction. 5. Kindness to animals: Kindness to animals is to prevent all kinds of harm from any animal and offer them food, drink, and safety. This indicates the greatness of Islam, and its sympathy even with animals.

Hadith on kindness:

The translation of the Hadith is:

Whoever is given his portion of kindness has been given his portion of goodness, and whoever is deprived of his portion of kindness has been deprived of his portion of goodness.

Simple explanation of the Hadith:

This is a great example of Hadith on kindness that shows the greatness of being kind in Islam. Our beloved Prophet Muhammad (SAW) has confirmed that the good heart is the sweet luck from this World, and the cruelty of the heart is bad luck. This Hadith also confirms the same point, Our Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said in this Hadith that, “Whoever wishes to be saved from Hell and admitted into Paradise as desired, they should believe in Allah, day of Judgement and treat other people the way they themselves would like to be treated.” from Sahih Muslim.
