Surah Al Fil translation_Sahih international: Oh Muhammad! Do you know what your lord did with the elephant companions? Do you know that He made their plan to fail? He also sent to them groups of birds. These birds threw them with stones of condensed clay. And finally Allah made them as an eaten straw.

Name of Surah Al Fil:

One year when it was the year of birth of our beloved Prophet Muhammad (SAW), there was an attack to Kaaba by pegans (this was an army solidiers riding elephants). This was a great event in which Allah himself protected Kaaba from this army. This army came from Yemen to destroy it. And this is the only true story for naming Surah Al Fil with this name.

Simple explanation:

1-Oh Muhammad! Do you know what your lord did with the elephant companions? Allah Almighty protected the army of Quraysh against the army of Abrahah. 2-Do you know that He made their plan to fail? Their plan was to break and destroy Kaaba but Allah frustrated their plan. 3-He also sent to them groups of birds. 4-These birds threw them with stones of condensed clay. Allah asked a group of birds to fight the army of Abrahah by throwing on them 3 stones from each bird. Every bird threw 3 stones on the men below, there was a scream below them. At this time Allah sent strong wind to increase the force of the stones. As a result of this battle, some of them died, and the rest of them were injured. And finally, Abrahah died after telling about this great battle. 5-And finally Allah made them as an eaten straw. All that remained after them was like harvested reeds.   See More : Surah Quraish
