Allah our God loves his believers, and he wants to
communicate with them any time.
One of the ways of this communication is Dua.
Here we are about to know Dua Qunoot.
What is the meaning of Dua Qunoot?
“Qunoot” as a word is derived from the word “Qanata’
which means standing in your prayer silent, and humble in
front of Allah.”
It also means deep from the heart.
When to say Dua Qunoot?
It is important to say that it has many formulas.
It is preferred to say this Dua in specific times such as:
1. In Fajr prayer when Muslim lifts his head in the
second Rak’a, the Muslim lifts his hand, start calling
Allah and reciting this supplication.
2. In witr prayer after finishing the last Rak’a during
standing or I’tidal.
3. It may be recited in all prayers, if there is a great
misfortune in Muslim countries, our beloved Prophet
Muhammad (SAW) did this when the readers were
killed.
He kept reciting this Dua for a whole month.
Dua is the supplication of all Muslims, and if anyone needs
help, he should ask Allah.
We all know that the aim of Man creation is the worship of
Allah.
One of the best worship of Allah is Dua, and one of them
is Dua Qunoot.
Allah promised us to answer his believers.
This Dua is:
Allah humma inna nasta-eenoka wa nastaghfiruka wa
nu’minu bika wa natawakkalu alaika wa nusni alaikal khair,
wa nashkuruka wala nakfuruka wa nakhla-oo wa natruku
mai yafjuruka, Allah humma iyyaka na’budu wa laka
nusalli wa nasjud wa ilaika nas aaa wa nahfizu wa narju
rahma taka wa nakhshaa azaabaka inna azaabaka bil
kuffari mulhik.
What is the meaning of Dua Qunoot in English?
Oh Allah! We believe in you, rely on you, and we are
thankful to you.
And we forsake those who don’t obey your rules.
Oh Allah! We obey your rules, pray only for you, and we
try to please you, we need your mercy.
Oh Allah! Please protect us from torment.
Dua Qunoot which Surah in Quran?
We can say that, this Dua is not stated in the Quran, but it
is from the Sunnah of Prophet Muhammad (SAW).
The benefits of this Dua:
There are many benefits for reciting it, the first and the
most important benefit is the closeness to Allah.
Dua Qunoot also supports Muslims and makes them
realize that Allah is their only support, hears them, and
answers their supplication.
And Allah does not reject any Dua from his believers.
We have to know and make sure that Allah is our only
army that can help us, know what we need without asking.
Although Allah knows what we need without asking, he
loves to ask him, and bleading with him.
He will never reject your answer and let you alone.
Try to repeat reciting Dua Qunoot, and try to be close to
Allah.
