surah humazah and the benefit of its recitation
ِبِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ
وَيْلٌ لِكُلِّ هُمَزَةٍ لُمَزَةٍ (1) الَّذِي جَمَعَ مَالًا وَعَدَّدَهُ (2) يَحْسَبُ أَنَّ مَالَهُ أَخْلَدَهُ (3) كَلَّا لَيُنْبَذَنَّ فِي الْحُطَمَةِ (4) وَمَا أَدْرَاكَ مَا الْحُطَمَةُ (5) نَارُ اللَّهِ الْمُوقَدَةُ (6) الَّتِي تَطَّلِعُ عَلَى الْأَفْئِدَةِ (7) إِنَّهَا عَلَيْهِمْ مُؤْصَدَةٌ (8) فِي عَمَدٍ مُمَدَّدَةٍ (9)
Introduction:
Surah Humazah was revealed on our beloved Prophet
Muhammad (SAW) in Mecca.
Surah Al Humazah also has its own name in English
which is “the Slanderer, or the backbiter.”
The Holy Quran contains 114 Surah, and it is the 104th
one of them.
This great Surah consists of 9 verses that started with
talking about people who show the defections of God
creations.
Surah Humazah transliteration:
1. Waylon likoli homazaten lumazah.
2. Alladhi gama’a malan wa adadah.
3. Yahsabo anna ma laho akhladah.
4. Kalla layounbathana fel hotamah.
5. Wama adraka mal hotamah.
6. Naro Allahi al moqadah.
7. Allati tatali’o ala al afedah.
8. ennaha alihem mo’sadah.
9. De amaden momadadah.
surah humazah translation_Sahih international:
1. There will be torment from Allah for people who harm
other people in their lives.
2. People who live only to collect money.
3. Those people think that this money will make them
live forever.
4. No doubt, they will be in the fire of the Hereafter.
5. Do you know this fire?
6. This is the raging fire that was created by Allah.
7. This fire will know the types of hearts (it has another
explanation).
8. It is imposed on them, and there will be no way out.
9. There will be iron columns.
Simple explanation of Surah Al Humazah:
This Surah reflects a true, and realistic image of ancient
and contemporary society.
And this realistic and true image is collecting money, and
thinking that this money is the most valuable thing in life.
To be fair money is important, but it isn’t the most valuable
thing in our life.
People who think that money is of great value, think also it
can change their lives, and maintain eternity.
And the person who does these bad things will be thrown
into the fire of the Hereafter on the day of Judgement.
The Fire in the Hereafter is very burning, its fuel is the
bodies of bad people, and from its severity of the burning it
burns hearts after the bodies were burned.
They can’t get out from this burning fire.
We ask Allah to relieve us from the Fire, and drag us from
it.
The virtue of studying surah humazah:
The virtue of reciting this great Surah will be shown when
we read what said by our beloved Prophet Muhammad
(SAW):
“He who recites this Surah will be rewarded ‘ten good
deeds’ as many as the number of those who mocked
Muhammad (S) and his companions”.
We can conclude the main topic of this Surah and say that
Every Slanderer And The One Who Collects Wealth And
Do Not Spend In Good Cause Will Be Put In Fire
Columns.
And there will be no way out.
