  • Take a small amount of water in your right hand to rinse your mouth. Repeat the action thrice to thoroughly clean your mouth.
  • Take some water in your left hand, inhale it into your nose, and then blow it out. Repeat the action thrice while making sure you are not inhaling too much water as that can be harmful to you.
  • Take water in both of your hands and wash your face three times. Make sure that every part of your face from one ear to the other and to its top to the bottom is clean.
  • Wash both of your arms three times. Start by washing your right arm from the fingertips to the elbow and then repeat the process with your left arm.
  • Wipe your head once by wetting your hands and moving them from the top of your head to the back. Repeat the process by moving your hands from the back of your head to the front.
  • Without wetting your hair again, use your index fingers to clean the inside of your ears and your thumbs to clean the area behind your ears. Do this action only once.
  • Wash both of your feet three times. Start with your right foot and wash every part of it from your toes to your ankle thrice. Make sure every part of your foot including the area between the toes is touched by the water. Repeat the action with your left foot three times.
  • Once you have finished performing the wudu, recite “Ashhadu an la ilaha ill-allah wahdahu la sharika lah, wa ashhadu anna Muhammadan ‘abduhu wa rasuluhu.” [I bear witness that no one is worthy of worship except Allah, who has no partner, and I bear witness that Muhammad is His servant and Messenger]
