1. By the Fig, and the Olive. 2. And by the mount of Sinai. 3. By the secure city (it means Mecca). 4. We have created humankind in the best stature. 5. Then we have turned him to the lowest of the low. 6. Except for people who believe in Allah and do righteous deeds, for they will have a reward uninterrupted. 7. So, what makes you deny the recompense? 8. Isn’t Allah the most just of judges?!Simple explanation of Surah Tin:
This Surah was named by this name; because the Fig is a sensitive fruit that spoils quickly and can’t be saved, that refers to human nature. Tur sineen that was mentioned in this Surah is a mountain that is present in Sinai upon which Allah Almighty talked to Musa (peace be upon Him). In this Surah Allah makes a comparison between Tin “the Fig” and Zaytoon “the Olive”, He described the mountain of Sinai as the Fig; as it is a blessed mountain upon which Allah spoke to Musa, Allah also revealed the Torah to Musa in the same place. By the time, this place has changed and people became disobedient to Allah (it looks like the Fig before and after spoilage). The secure city that is Makkah was and still good until the day of Judgement (it looks like the Olive that doesn’t spoil, and retains its shape and taste). Allah has created us in the best stature and standing upright, so we must be good servants, obey Him as it should be. Needless to say that, good deeds have rewards, and bad deeds have punishment, so people who believe in Allah will enter Jannah, while people who don’t believe in Him will be punished in the Fire. Allah has described the Fire many times in the Quran and Hadith, He said in Surah Al Baqarah:بسم االله الرحمن الرحیم
Which means that: fear the fire, that is fueled by people and stones, this was prepared for the disbelievers. We have to ask Allah to protect us from the Fire, and its torment. See More: Surah Yaseen – the Heart of the Quran
