The properties of the Ten Days :
For the first ten days of the month of Dhu Al-Hijjah many characteristics, including the following:
(1) That God Almighty swore by them in his book, the Almighty said :
{ وَالْفَجْرِ * وَلَيَالٍ عَشْرٍ } ( سورة الفجر: الآيتان 1 -2 )
And there is no doubt that Allah’s swore by them tells of their honor and virtue.
(2) that God called it in his book “the informed days” and proceeded to mention in particular, the Almighty said :
{ وَيَذْكُرُوا اسْمَ اللَّهِ فِي أَيَّامٍ مَعْلُومَاتٍ } ( سورة الحج: الآية 28 )
It is stated in some interpretations that the informed days are the first ten days of the month of Dhu Al-Hijjah.
(3)That the righteous deeds in these days are more beloved to Allah than others. It was narrated that ‘Abd-Allah ibn’ Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: “There are no more great days for Allah and not beloved to Allah to work in them than these ten days, so increase the Takbeer, Tahleel, and Tahmeed in them . ( Narrated by Ahmed )
(4) that they contain (the day of Al-Tarwiya), the eighth day of Dhu Al-Hijjah, which begins the work of Hajj.
(5)That the day of Arafah, a great day which is one of the boasts of Islam, and has great virtues, because it is the day of forgiveness of sins and transgression, and the day of freedom from the fire, and the day of the pledge. The mother of believers Aisha – may Allah be pleased with her – she said: The Prophet of Allah (Peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: “There is no day more than the day of Arafah that Allah make a servant away from the Fire, And it comes down then boast by the angels, he says: What they wanted? ” ( narrated by Muslim )
(6) that it contains (night of collection), the night of Muzdalifah where the pilgrims stay on the night of the tenth of the month of Dhu Al-Hijjah after they end up in Arafa.
(7) that it contains the Hajj, which is the fifth pillar of Islam.
8) that it contains (the Day of Sacrifice), the tenth day of Dhu al-Hijjah, which is the greatest days of the world It was narrated that ‘Abd-Allah ibn Qurtub narrated that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: “The greatest day for Allah, Blessed and Exalted, is the Day of Sacrifice, then the Day of the Qarr” (Narrated by Abu Dawood)
(9) that God made them timed to get closer to him Almighty, sacrifice sacrifices as a market for the Hajj, and sacrifice of which the pilgrim shared with other Muslims.
(10) that it is better than the last ten days of the month of Ramadan; as reported by Shaykh al-Islam Ibn Taymiyyah was asked about the tenth of Dhu’l-Hijjah and the last ten days of Ramadan, whichever is better? He replied: “The days of Dhu Al-Hijjah are better than the ten days of Ramadaan, and the nights of the last ten days of Ramadaan are better than the nights of the tenth of Dhu Al-Hijjah” (Ibn Taymiyah)
(11) that these blessed days are a frequent annual occasion where the mothers of worship meet, as Ibn Hajar pointed out: “It appears that the reason for the privilege of the tenth of Dhu Al-Hijjah is the place where the mothers of worship meet, namely prayer, fasting, charity and Hajj, and that can not be as the same in any other days “(Fath al-Bari)
(12) It is days that share the good and preferred pilgrims to the House of God, and residents in their home because the virtue is not linked to a particular place except for Hajj.
