One of the most important things that Islam has instilled in the hearts of its followers is taking care of their cleanliness, whether that includes cleaning their bodies, cleaning their clothes, or cleaning the places they live in and the tools they use. The Prophet Muhammad, may God bless him and grant him peace, was sent to a people who do not know anything about civilization but rather they eat dead animals and drink wine, and do not care about the urine, impurity, or dirt that they have on their clothes. This was their situation until God sent to them His Messenger Muhammad, may God bless him and grant him peace, teaching them the rules of life and the principles of living, so it was one of the first things that were revealed from the noble Qur’an (and your clothes were pure) and from here began to appear on these Arab and Bedouin features of civilization where Islam considered that cleanliness and purity is a basic pillar in Allah religion Islam was above other heavenly and positivist laws, such as the Jews, for example, who were not cleaning their ego, and the Messenger of God, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, said (Clean your ego and do not imitate the Jews) And like the Christians who in their corrupted books stated that Jesus’ disciples were eating without washing their hands from the harm of dirt, and the witches who considered in their law that the closest relatives to the fire they worship washing with urine As for Islam, cleanliness was considered a legal obligation to prevent disease, and this confirms Islam’s purity 1 Acknowledgment that ablution and purity is a condition for correct entry into prayer. God Almighty said (O you who believe, if you rise up to prayer, wash your faces and hands to the elbows, and wipe your heads and your feet to the ankles, and if you are side, cleanse). (For a mosque founded on piety from the first day that men deserve to be purified and God loves the purified) 2 The cleanliness of the teeth and the mouth from the confirmed Sunnahs of our Prophet, peace be upon him, in the hadith says, peace and blessings be upon him (had it not been for the most difficult of my nation to command them miswak at every prayer) 3 Islam hates unpleasant odors in general, and when entering the mosque in particular, the Prophet, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, said: “Whoever eats garlic or onions does not bring our mosque closer, then the angels are harmed by what is harmed by the sons of Adam.” 4 Making purity a reason for loving God Almighty (and God loves those who repent and loves those who are purified) 5 Making maintaining hygiene equal to half of religion and faith (purification is part of faith) For all this and for many others, every Muslim should be as clean as possible
